OK, so imagine one pound of your own fattyflesh. So if you burn that sum of flesh, and thatsounds kind of, you know, strange, but if you were to convert that into vigour, you wouldget about 3500 Calories, which is quite a lot of energy. That is me talking with Dr. Carson Chow, anM.I.T. improved physicist and mathematician and he is explaining to me why we should carehow much vigour fat has. In guild for you to live and function, youneed to burn energy to, like, keep your heart blow, all your parts travelling and exactly tomove around.But vigour doesnt come for free. So if you aren’t consuming fairly caloriesyou are going to burn that vitality with your own fat. So a great deal of diet volumes are happy to teach thisrule, but the problem is its wrong. Here is why. Let’s say I eat 500 calories less a period. So after one week “it wouldve been” 3,500 calories, and I would lose a pound, right? Because I’d have to burn it. You have some ocean in the pail and that’sthe amount of person fatty or tissue in your person. And the hole represents the rate at whichyou are burning energy. In actuality what you are doing is adding waterat the top, that’s like eating food.And “if youre in” steady mood the amountof water you add at the top precisely poises the amount of water you lose at the bottom. If you are pouring in more ocean than it isleaking then you are going to gain weight. Now if you think about the physics of a leakybucket, the more spray you pour into the bucket the faster it’s gonna seep. So the spill proportion scales with how big-hearted you are. And this is a well-known fact, that the largeryou are, the more force you burn. You’re going to burn more vigour because ittakes more power time to move a larger mass. You have more tissue and precisely to keep thattissue starting it makes more energy.Congratulations. You have a new continuous state. But tells say you don’t want to stay this largeperson that you’ve become. Well, the opposite is true, as well. You can pour in a good deal less spray than youare leaking. But … As you start to lose weight you start to getsmaller and you burn less vitality and you start to metabolically adjust to your brand-new nutrition. And so you are never going to lose weightat one constant rate. It is always going to curve from one steadystate down to another.
